Ricky D Garner

Financial Planner / Investment Advisor Representative 

Ricky is the founder of GPS Financial Strategies, LLC. As an Upstate South Carolina native, Ricky grew up, attended college, and began his business in Greenville, SC. Graduating with Bachelor's Degrees in both philosophy and political science from Clemson University in 2000, he went on to earn his MBA from The University of Phoenix in 2012.

He also enjoys spending most of his free with time with his wife, Eva, and two teenage children, Brock and Emmaree.  When leisure time is available, it is ususually spent on the golf course or supporting his beloved Clemson Tiger athletics! Giving back to his community is something very important as well.  While supporting several local projects and organizations.  He is a current member for the Board of Tara's Tribe, a local non-profit based in Anderson, SC providing support for single-parent families battling life threatening illnesses.  Ricky has also served as a former member of the Board of Governors for the Commerce Club in downtown Greenville from 2016-2021, and , Ricky has also given his time and experience as a former member of the Boards of Directors for Operation Freedom Awareness.

With over 15 years of experience as a financal planner and investment advisor, and over 25 years in small business and coorperate finance, he takes great pride in providing his clients with exceptional services and relationships.
